There are two slightly different things people mean by “save this article.” Sometimes the page itself is the thing worth finding again. Sometimes one passage is the reason the article matters.
Keep Clip can handle either without making you retype the source information from scratch.
To save the page, use your browser's Share command
Open the article in your browser and tap Share, then choose Keep Clip.
The browser's shared content gives Keep Clip material it can use to identify the link and, when available, the page title and other source metadata. Keep Clip also records the source app.
Because Android apps do not all share webpages in exactly the same way, treat this as best effort rather than guaranteed metadata extraction.
To save a passage, select it before you share
If a paragraph or sentence is the part you care about, select that text on the webpage first and use Share → Keep Clip.
The selected passage can arrive as the clip text while Keep Clip separately preserves source fields such as the page title and URL when they are available.
That is more useful than leaving a quotation in a generic notes file with no path back to the article.
Check the capture before tapping Save
The New Clip screen lets you inspect or edit:
- Clip Text
- Title
- Author
- Clip Name
- Source
- Source URL
- Tags
- Notes
Most clips do not need every field. For an ordinary web article, the important check is usually simple: did the useful text or link arrive, and is the title or URL present if you will need to return to the source?
Add a Clip Name, tag, or note only if it will make later retrieval easier.
Then tap Save.
Keep Clip is not an offline copy of the whole webpage
Saving a link records where the article lives. Saving selected text preserves that selected text. Neither operation should be confused with archiving the complete webpage exactly as it exists today.
Pages can move, change, or disappear. If you need a permanent evidentiary copy of an entire webpage, use an appropriate web-archiving or document-preservation method as well.
For ordinary reading, research, and bookmark capture, keeping the link, useful excerpt, and enough source context is often the useful minimum.

Keep Clip
Keep Clip receives text and links through Android's Share menu, stores source information when available, and lets you add names, tags, notes, and other context. Clips remain searchable on the device and can be exported in portable formats.
